Accessibility Statement

This site is meant to be usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology.

Effective [effective date] · The Rustic Compass

Our aim

We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines as a practical standard, and we treat accessibility as part of building a page rather than a later fix.

What we do

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate structure
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, menus and forms with visible focus
  • Colour contrast checked against the guidelines, and never colour alone to convey meaning
  • Layouts that reflow on small screens and when text is enlarged

Known limitations

Some downloadable printables are visual by nature and may not be fully readable by a screen reader. If you need the contents of a printable in an accessible format, ask us and we will send a plain-text or tagged version where we can.

Third-party content

Pages may embed or link to services we do not control, such as a payment checkout. We choose accessible providers where we have a choice, but we cannot guarantee third-party accessibility.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, email info@therusticcompass.com with the page and what happened. We treat access problems as bugs and prioritise them accordingly.
